Well here we are the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Jacob and I are both on break for the holiday and will will be off starting Thursday. We're going to have Thanksgiving at our house this year. We're expecting 20-25 guests this year.
Fortunately I've had some practice at the whole cooking the Turkey thing ( never mind the first time and I cooked the bird with the neck still in it) and my guests are bringing a dish that they've prepared as well. I'm looking forward to spending time with family and friends.
As time goes on and family gets new family added on it's harder to get everyone together as we all have sometimes several places we need to be. This year will be the first year my sister and her family will not be able to join us.They will be missed. She is going to have her first Thanksgiving gathering this year at her house. Mom has e-mailed us a wonderful list of things to help prep us for our day's. Mom's always been very good and entertaining and always seems to remember the things that I would never think about, so thanks to mom for that.
I love Thanksgiving for a few reasons . One the obvious : food . Who can resist all that good stuff. And of course it always helps to give thanks. I'm thankful for so much. Times are tuff right now for so many people, we just have to remember that alot of things can change around you. Just count your blessing's and remember the little thing's.
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, give thanks and don't forget to wear stretchy pants :)
